Douglas J. Dingwerth, DMD, MD
Dr. Dingwerth joined Oral Surgery Associates of North Texas in 2002. Dr. Dingwerth was born and raised in southern Illinois. He received his bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 1991, where he played collegiate basketball. In 1995 Dr. Dingwerth earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Southern Illinois University. During dental school, he was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Phi Kappa Phi honor society.
Dr. Dingwerth earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Texas Tech in 1998. After which, he completed his internship in General Surgery and his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Currently, he is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Texas A&M College of Dentistry (formerly Baylor College of Dentistry). He is also a staff physician at Baylor University Medical Center and Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He holds a license in both medicine and dentistry in Texas.
He is a very active in oral and maxillofacial surgery professional societies as a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Texas Society of OMS and North Texas Society of OMS. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Dallas County Dental Society, Texas Medical Association and the Dallas County Medical Society. His surgical interests include dental implants, corrective jaw surgery, wisdom teeth, dental extractions, facial trauma, and oral pathology.
Dr. Dingwerth was also voted among the Best in Dallas for 2018, 2017 and 2016 for D Magazine.
Basketball continues to be one of Dr. Dingwerth’s favorite past times while he also enjoys golf and coaching sports. He and his wife, Karla, have two children. They continue to be active members of their church and the community.
